On November 12, 2007, Georgia Ranger Lodge President Stan Elrod chaperoned Drake Mote to the coast of North Carolina on a bear hunt.  The Outdoor Dream Foundation Sponsored the hunt and fishing trips to kids under 21 with terminal and serious illnesses.  Stan is a volunteer with the foundation.  The Georgia Ranger Lodge sponsors the foundation through donations.  Drake is from Hartwell Georgia and has an inoperable brain tumor.  On the first morning hunt, Drake shot a black bear weighing 299lbs.
