The Ranger Lodge recently sent care packages to the troops in Afghanistan.  Items included shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, floss, chapstick, and hard candy.  The packages were sent to Captain Jeff Freeman.  Captain Freeman is deployed with the Georgia National Guard.  Ranger Lodge President Stan Elrod met Captain Freeman a couple years ago while doing a program in Hartwell.  After learning that Captain Freeman had been deployed and needed certain items that most of us take for granted, the Ranger Lodge decided to send our Georgia troops some things they needed as a small way to say thanks for their service to America and Georgia.
